Hello, my name is Rachelle (she/her), and I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor with BCACC (# 14415). I have over 15 years of working in mental health and substance use as both a counsellor and a psychiatric nurse. My practice is solidly and consistently grounded in person-centred, trauma-informed, and social justice practice. I work with adults who experience symptoms of trauma, such as anxiety, depression, suicidality, PTSD, substance use/recovery and grief/loss. I see these symptoms as a result of living through traumatic experiences that are needing to be acknowledged and safely resolved. I use a variety of treatment modalities to help clients process their trauma such as Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Internal Family Systems. I also use DBT, CBT and Mindful Self-Compassion concepts and techniques to help people stabilize emotionally prior to beginning the hard work of trauma processing.
When I weave these techniques and concepts into therapy, I do so in a compassionate, non-judgmental and collaborative way with you. My goal in therapy is to support you in that safe space so you can face and work through your difficult memories and experiences that are holding you back. It’s my ultimate hope that you begin to feel whole and complete in yourself and living the life you want to live.
Hello, my name is Rachelle (she/her), and I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor with BCACC (# 1441...

Hello and welcome,
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and I bring curiosity, compassion, warmth and respect to my work with you. I view my role as that of co-inquirer into the larger perspective of what might be going on for you. Through deep and intuitive listening, I often find connections between your current situation and what might be truly at issue. We may look at learned patterns and coping methods that are no longer serving you. Some of those patterns may have come from unaddressed trauma, shame, grief or loss. My intention is that you feel heard and understood as you expand your self-knowledge and move towards your goals.
I have found that clients come to see me when they are feeling stuck and confused or perhaps struggling with the impact of past trauma. This may include feelings of anxiety, depression, anger, grief or questioning of their self-worth. My approach is tailored to each person, with an emphasis on collaboration. I use trauma-informed, attachment-based counselling approaches including experiential methods, EMDR, Gestalt, Solution-focused, Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems, CBT, transpersonal, and existential methods.
